I read about a study a few years ago using phone cases on Amazon.com that found that we’re more likely to buy a product by reason of the number of reviews it has, than by reason of what they say. Just think about that for a second. Weird, right? But ok, hold that thought.
I love a fast reader. It’s not that I don’t love slow readers, but I love them for other reasons. The Truth About Parallel Lines was just released on June 4th, and a number of people (you know who you are) have already called or posted or texted or emailed or messaged to let me know that they read it and liked it. It makes me happier than you can imagine to hear that. Seriously. Thank you.
And now, back to where we started. — reviews, remember? “We’re more likely to favor a product based on the quantity of reviews, rather than what they say.” So here’s the deal. If you read The Truth About Parallel Lines and you post a review to Amazon or B&N and/or Goodreads, then the next time I see you I will buy you a hot or cold beverage of your choosing. How’s that?
Oh, and you should, of course, be completely honest, good or bad. Because after all, it’s quantity, not quality, that counts.
